Grace marks are given to SSLC/Higher Secondary school going regular candidates for their achievements in state level competitions during their first and second year separately in the respective First/Second year Higher secondary examinations. 
The benefit of eligible grace marks for achievements in the First year course shall be awarded for the First year examination only and for achievement in the Second year course, for the Second year examination only. Grace marks are awarded for the achievements in the
following items:-
State Kalolsavam & Sasthrolsavam
Grace marks are given to the winners in the State Level School Youth Festival & Sasthramela as given below.
Special School Kalolsavam:
Grace marks are given to Special School Kalolsavam
JRC, SPC & Bala Sasthra Congress:
Grace marks are awarded to participants of JRC, SPC, and Balasastra Congress as follows.
Scout & Guide
Grace marks are awarded to participants of Scout & Guide as follows.
National Service Scheme(NSS)
Grace marks are awarded to participants of NSS as follows.
Little Kites, Bala Sree Awards, Quiz Competition by State Legal Services Authority, Jawaharlal Nehru National Exhibition:

Grace mark will be awarded to NCC Cadets during Second Year only on satisfying the following conditions.

Conditions for Awarding Grace Marks:
1.The benefit of eligible grace marks for achievements in the First year course shall be awarded for the First year examination only and for achievement in the Second year course, for the Second year examination only.
2.The preference will be for attaining minimum mark for becoming ‘Eligible’ i.e, grade D+. Second preference will be for lifting the lowest grade to the next higher grade and so on.
3.When a student is eligible for grace marks for different items, the item with highest grace mark only will be considered.
4.If a student appears for lesser number of papers only, the percentage will be calculated based on the number of papers appeared for. If the student appears for SAY, the grace mark will be calculated for the papers appeared in SAY scheme.
5.Grace marks will not be given for subsequent appearances.

6.A candidate who has secured the maximum scores for a paper is not eligible for grace marks for that subject and those marks will not be transferred to any other subject.
7.Grace marks will be given to the candidates irrespective of whether they are eligible for higher studies or not in the examinations.
8.Grace marks for NCC and NSS shall be awarded at the Second Year Higher Secondary Examination only.
9. Awarding any
grace marks, the maximum grace mark that can be allotted to a subject is limited to raising
the score of that subject to 90%. The grace marks awarded to each subject shall be shown
separately in the certificate/score sheet(Page 66, Higher Secondary Examination Manual 2022).
