Guru Mudra : A Logo for Teachers

It is on 5th September 2012,Malayala Manorama daily,with a democratic outlook launched a logo for teachers. It is an emblem designed by Sri. Shibin K K , a native of Thalassery working as a teacher in GVHSS, Chirakkara.This logo highlights the intensity and purity of teacher-pupil relationship.The background of this logo is a slate on which a teacher and a student is portrayed.The student is too closely attached to the teachers heart. The inspiration behind the designing of this logo is a team of teachers and students of St.Antonys HSS,Plassanal,Pala.
The Man Behind The Logo
We wanted to give a quick shout out to the designer of the GURU MUDRA logo –Mr.Shibin K.K.,basically a designer, he is presently working at Govt. Vocational Higher Secondary School,Chirakkara,Thalassery as Computer Science teacher.As the Rupee finally gets a global face and identity, he was among the final five whose symbols were shortlisted.He has won few online logo design contests. Made hundreds of logos for companies all over the world during his Bangalore career as well as by freelance works.He completed his Post Graduation from University of Calicut.
